ABSTRACT: A multi-model that generates an order of priorities for three alternatives and the alternative of no project is developed. For that three main criteria (social, economic and environmental) and sixteen sub-criteria (profitability, cost, infrastructure and property affected, tourism, relocation of populations, public health, distribution downstream for irrigation, water supply to towns, archaeological resources were identified , flora and fauna, biodiversity, water quality in the reservoir, soil, ecological flow and sedimentation in the reservoir). Based on an individual assessment of each of the criteria and sub-criteria, an analysis of sensitivity to different considerations of the impacts of each alternative generated.
RESULTS: With the goal of generating more electricity production project alternatives for a multipurpose dam in Baba tributary basin of the Guayas River in Ecuador river were generated.
For the characteristics of the project, it must also be evaluated in terms of its generation capacity in combination with pre existing dam downstream Peripa Duale, various possible locations of the work with different affectations and impacts associated with the reservoir are presented generate and the proximity of various sensitive regions in the territory by the existence of stocks, production areas and even areas of archaeological value. In this context the results of the design and implementation of a multipurpose complex model are especially useful to support a possible decision to be embraced and shared by a variety of stakeholders.
